Ethiopia conflicts reach Nekemte (November 2022)

A couple of weeks ago we received a worrying message from Elizabeth asking us to pray. She said on their return from their pastoral visits they found soldiers attacking areas of the town. It was so dangerous they had to flee to Adis the capital. Thank God they were able to get a bus to escape. Tragically Elizabeth's neighbours were not so fortunate. The beautiful brother and sister were mercilessly killed (Photo 1 &2)

Please pray for peace in the region of Oromo where fighting continues despite the recent peace agreement with the northern region of Tigray.

Elizabeth and Zenabu have now bravely returned to continue their pastoral work among the poorest of the poor. We are praying for God's protection and for peace and reconciliation in this region.

Psalm 46:9 'He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth.'
