Ethiopia- Kids off to school!
It has been a joy to help these children from very poor families to go to school this year. Without a uniform and school equipment they would not be allowed. But of course, these all cost money, which many of the poorest families cannot afford.
Diribe, Dibora, Ajabe and Hawi were all sad not to be able to go to school. Diribe even tried to commit suicide, because she felt she had no future. Hawi is an orphan who lives with her great aunt who is old and very poor. Education will empower these children to escape poverty and contribute to society in positive ways as ones who have experienced the grace and compassion of God.
